Turning off from Omachi Nashi Kaido Highway, there is an area called Omachi Recreation Zone where people could enjoy studying and feeling the nature in Zoo, Nature Museum, Botanical Garden of Decorative Plants and Nature Observation Garden in. Especially, Nature Observation Garden has wooden promenade decks the wet lands opening in Nagata Yatsu Valley that has much natural water from many springs in woods in the valley. It has the Rose Garden and the Village of Maple Trees in it. Kaii Higashiyama, a famous painter lived in Ichikawa City often visited the garden to see the nature.

Omachi Nature Observation Garden is a municipal park that is opened in Nagata Yatsu Valley in Ono and Omachi area in Ichikawa City since it preserves nature well even now. The water in the valley comes from woods and pear gardens around it.
It is a bird paradise, common Indian kingfishers, green herons, Japanese great tits and so on come there to get fresh water and nature. In winter, shrikes, black-faced buntings and Siberian bluechat come.
Every four seasons, many flowers bloom in the garden. Alders, magnolia kobuses and watercress in spring, wisterias and yellow irises in early summer, silk trees and dayflowers in summer and so many seasonal flowers decorate the garden.
The Rose Garden in Omachi Nature Observation Garden has 96 kinds of over 1000 rose trees and they fully bloom in every early summer and fall. In summer, Golden lilies bloom and fireflies fly at night. Many maple trees lining along a small river near the south gate and on the Village of Maple Trees sparklingly painted with their autumn leaves.

A mountain beside the zoo in Omachi Nature Observation Garden has about 450 maple trees in it so it is called the Village of Maple Trees. The mountain is opened for limited time. The maple trees lining along the river near the south gate are also beautifully colored. Moreover, visitors could enjoy seeing autumn leaves while they walk on the promenade decks in the garden.
